Although he is portrayed as avid milk drinker and cottage cheese connoisseur, Stephen Gordon is much more than that. An Americana singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN, Gordon writes simple songs about everyday life with his beloved acoustic guitar. His last album So Young Now released almost a year ago, but he recently featured a collection of songs he calls "Sounds of Stephen Gordon" on NoiseTrade. Alex Clare

This song/video will surprise you. I don't know how you feel about dubstep, but this is worth listening to as singer/songwriter Alex Clare has blended two genres by incorporating a slight dubstep sound into the chorus of his single "Too Close". After giving it a listen we are fans of the song. They didn't over do it and the soulful grungy sound of Clare's voice makes for a remarkably smooth transition once the womp womp kicks in. Sadly, only two songs from his album The Lateness of the Hour are available on Spotify and iTunes! And if you like his style but still aren't feeling the dubstep, check out the acoustic version of "Too Close" below!

Singer/songwriter Josh Garrels' music has been referred to as "achingly human, longingly spiritual". It's easy to understand after giving just one listen to any of Josh's songs as they are chill and real as I like to call it. He has released five studio albums and it is surprising we have not heard more from this talented musician. But that is because he does it for the love of music, not so much for the fame or money that a talent like his could bring. The City Harmonic

The City Harmonic comes at you with a refreshing batch of songs that the radio could use a little more of. I saw a Lowe's commercial and thought "hmm I like this song, I'm gonna try to find it!". Little did I know, it was a band I was already familiar with. The Kicks, originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, has been making quite a name for themselves over the past couple years as one of the best shows in Nashville. The Kicks have an infectious rock sound, that will make even those pop fanatics turn their head to listen. Check out their past two singles "Good Morning" (Featured in the Lowes Commercial) and "Hawk Eyes" below.
